| Albanian Lessons - Hello all. I'm going to provide some Albanian lessons from my teach-yourself Albanian book. I do not speak Albanian, and I only know a couple of words. If you need any additional help for learning, you will have to find other people to help you with that. I'll try to post more content from the lesson everyday, but somedays I may have to skip. If you want a pronunciation guide, I can provide that, but I'm going to start with the lessons right away. So, here is the first lesson. To clear things up: The mother is teaching her young kids to speak Albanian. TANA is the mother. The others are her kids. ELEMENTARY ALBANIAN First Lesson - Mėsimi Parė 1. Conversation. Bisedė Greetings. Pėrshėndetje. LIRA: Good morning, e dashur mama! [color=red] Good morning, dear mother [/color] GONI: Thuaj 'Mirėmėngjez'! Ti pėrzjen shqip dhe inglisht. [color=red] {you} Say 'Good morning'! You mix up Albanian and English[/color] TANA: Tashi nuk ėsht mėngjez, por mesditė, dhe ditėn thuhet 'Mirėdita'. [color=red] Now it is not morning, but noon, and during the day you say 'Good day'.[/color] LIRA: Mama, mirėdita! [color=red]Mama, good day![/color] TANA: Si thuhet nė mbrėmje, kur babai vjen nė shtėpi? [color=red]What do you say in the evening, when father comes home?[/color] GONI: Mirėmbrėma, baba! [color=red]Good day, father![/color] LIRA: Mirėmbrėma, i dashur baba! [color=red]Good day, dear father![/color] TANA: Mirė. Tashi shkruani pėrshėndetjet nė fletore. Goni, shkruaj edhe ti! [color=red]Good. Now write the greetings in your notebook. Goni, you write too![/color] GONI: Nuk kam lapės. [color=red]I do not have a pencil[/color] TANA: Ja kėtu njė pendė. [color=red]Here is a pen[/color] GONI: Falemnderit, mama! [color=red]Thank you, mother![/color] LIRA: Mama, shqipja mė pėlqen! [color=red]Mother, I like Albanian[/color] TANA: Gėzohem qė tė pėlqen. [color=red]I am glad that you enjoy it[/color] The way the book is layed out, the literal meanings will come later after the dialog. So, what I did, was I did a simple translation of the Albanian phrases. I will give you the meanings of each and every word later. For right now, just get used to the Albanian language. | |

Lira dhe Goni janė motėr e vėlla. Babai i tyre ėsht Zoti Peti. Zoti Peti punon si teknik nė radiostacion. Ai tashi nuk ėsht nė shtėpi. Ai vjen nė shtėpi nė mbrėmje. Lirės i pėlqen shqipja.
