What is a good place to start learning basic conversational skills, like 'hello' (marhaba, I know that one ;)), good bye, thank you, your welcome, sorry, etc? Also, are there any peculiarities as far as Gulf states go? IE particular customs that might apply to Qatar that won't elsewhere? | |

| - i don't know whether you read about the online classes that are going to start on friday which is tomorrow you could join that coz they too are complete beginners and we'll start with marhaba and how to start a conversation in arabic and i also thought of giving a few tips about the arabic culture and too the gulf culture if you want:) the the post ay mosa'ada there are links to mohamed's website and there are lessons for complete beginners too they'll help you alot!! and as you are going to qatar it's our next door neighbour country i could give you some tips about it ;) | |

| - i will probably have to download Skype too because i use MSN. i can use some arabic at work (starbucks) to help customers decide what they want. but i don't get to use it enough to remember certain grammar parts lol
i know i couldn't be tjere today because i today was jum'ah. but i should be able to come on thursdays (if my boss doesn't make me work late lol) | |
