| Bengali Lesson 5 - Hi Friends, I have another lesson in Bengali for you this week. I want us to learn some more about sentence structure in Bangla. I know Bengali - ami Bangla jani; ami - I Bangla - Bengali Jani - know To change this sentence to a negative, I do not know bengali the phrase "na" is the negative statement. Therfore, to say: I do not know Bengali - ami Bangla jani-na. jani-na - don't know If you wish to ask the question then you would say - Do you know Bengali - tumi bangla jano? tumi - you bangla- bengali jano - know The definite article "the" boy = chele the boy = chele-ti The indefinite article "an" or "a" I want an apple (one apple) - ami akta apel cai They have a son (only one)- odher akti chele ache Try this out and have some fun, see you in a week.
