Bulgarian Verbs - Talking about past tense in Bulgarian, we must say that as far as tenses are concerned, Bulgarian has maybe the most ellaborate tense system amongst the Slavic family. Don`t ask me how many are there, let`s just say that there are a lot of them and that each of them has its proper use. But maybe, just for a start, we should start with Минало свършено време (Sth like Past simple in English), meaning that an action was COMPLETED in the past or was valid for a specific moment in the past.

Forms of some of the commonest verbs:

СЪМ

Аз бях
Ти беше
Той, тя, то беше

Ние бяхме
Вие бяхте
Те бяха

A few examples:

Аз бях болен вчера.
Ти беше с нас.
Тя не беше там.
Ние бяхме на този концерт.
И вие ли бяхте?
Нашите приятели бяха винаги с нас.

ИМАМ

Аз имах
Ти имаше
Той, тя, то имаше
Ние имахме
Вие имахте
Те имаха

Тогава имах къща в планината.
Ти имаше всичко.
Той имаше ключ.
Ние имахме билети.
Вие имахте красива градина.
Те имаха време.

НЯМАМ - NOT TO HAVE I don`t know if you knew, but some of the Slavonic languages have also a word for not to have sth...

Аз нямам
Ти нямаш
Той, тя, то няма

Ние нямаме
Вие нямате
Те нямат

Now sth for you to do!First of all, pls, translate my maybe stupid exaples into English. The last verb has no examples - make them!I`l check those for you and we`ll go on with other verbs!
