| SMALL TALK - Hello, everyone! I`m so glad that so many people want to learn Bulgarian. I hoped that thru the games I initiated I could help you with your Bulgarian, but obviously, you are either not interested or do not feel your Bulgarian is good enough…Ok, this posting will be all about SMALL TALK Good morning! Добро утро! Good afternoon! Добър ден! Good evening! Добър вечер! Good night! Лека нощ! Sweet dreams! Приятни сънища! Cin-cin! Наздраве! Good appetite! Добър апетит! Hello! Здравей! Hi! Здрасти! Hello (on the phone) Ало! How are you? Как си? How is your sister (brother)? Как е сестра (брат) ти? I`m OK, thanks, and you? Добре съм, благодаря, а ти? How was your trip to… Как беше пътуването ти до.... Are you tired? Уморен ли си? Are you thirsty? Жаден ли си? Are you hungry? Гладен ли си? Are you sure? Сигурен ли си? Have you been here before? Бил ли си тук преди? How old are you? На колко си години? I`m 20 years old. На 20 години съм. Where were you born? Къде си роден? I was born in Sofia. Роден съм в София. Do you have any brothers or sisters? Имаш ли братя или сестри? Yes, I have an older brother. Да, имам по-голям брат. Only a younger sister. Само по-малка сестра. No, I`m an only child. Не, едно дете съм. Do you like it here? Харесва ли ти тук? What are you doing this weekend (tonight)? Какво ще правиш този уикенд? Where do you live? Къде живеeш? What do you do for a living? Какво работиш? Do you know Peter? Познаваш ли Петър? In Bulgarian you have masculine, feminine and neutrum. I have given you everything above in masculine. To form feminine, put an A after an adjective like уморен+А- уморена. To form neutrum you have to add O like Уморен + O = уморено. But sometimes when doing this the last E drops like in сигурен + О – сигурно. You`ll have the knack of it with practice, as far as I know, there is no rule about it. | |

| maybe i should say something... - i dont' know if everyone's just not saying anything out of politeness, or if its just a problem with me, but i can hardly read the cyrillic script that you were typing with. its really small, plus the calligraphic style makes it even harder to read. that might be one reason. another is for me, that i do not know bulgarian enough to respond to some of the games....hmm, now that i look at, i can read your typing better. i think the words got bigger when i got to the reply screen. but on the initial post page, i think it was smaller. i can make out more of the letters here, but its still a little funny. like for cin-cin, it looks like na*dro*e. ..since script is different than block type, that may be an issue, too. i think i'm not script-impaired, but it may screw me up, more.. thanks for trying, though. every now and then i check back, and i'm still interested in learning, somehow. thanks. hope it was helpful. --me | |

| sfdf - hey.. i think its great that you make those word games. and i would love to be apart of them, but its just that i really dont know any bulgarian at all, its not beacuse i dont find it interesting... and i think many people in here feel the same way... its really great that you put so much into it... you should continue the job :) and by the way.. i would love it if you could teach me about the bulgarian grammar... i mean how the verbs are conjugted in the different tenses, and how the letter ending is in the different cases and so on... | |
