verb conjugations - zdrasti!
im learning BG on my own, with a little help from a special someone.
i have learned a lot conversationally, but would like to learn more of the structure of the language. If someone has any help on where i can either find a book for beginners (a workbook where i can do exercises) or can help me find out how to conjugate verbs, i would be very grateful! also, any help in spelling in BG would be appreciated. i seem to have horrible spelling, as most of what i have learned is not in cyrillic font, though i do read cyrillic too. the english phonetic way of writing BG makes it hard to learn to spell correctly.

thanks!

on books - out of the books i've found on the internet, the best one that seems to be the most comprehensive and thorough, is called Intensive Bulgarian. there's two volumes, and each costs about $34, i think. that's too much for me to spend, right now, but i would buy that, if i get a bulgarian book. and also, so you know, the best price i've found is on www.overstock.com
i think the dollar amount is one or two dollars cheaper, plus i think shipping is less expensive.
-see you later...

get a children's book - If you already know how to speak and read cyrillic, then you should just get a book in Bulgarian and read that. That would help you a lot with spelling. I bought the Harry Potter book in Buglarian and it's fun to try and read =)

Hi Monica,
True (I guess?). I thought of doing that too. But how do you understand the words then. You use a dictionary, or what?
I can read a little cyrillic too and can speak what I read. But... I don't have a clue of what it means that I'm reading there. How do you manage?
