1) There is no difference between pronunciation of the ú and ů, general rule is that whenever the ú (long u) is in the middle of the word, it is written as "ů". Of course there are some exceptions.

2) Whenever you see the "e" letter in the "English pronunciation of the letter", the pronunciation is the same as in the word b[b]e[/b]t.
