Who can help me? - I am half Czech myself, but never have learned a lick of the language. I am looking for someone to help me learn from scratch... I know absolutely nothing.

Thanks to anyone who could help!

- I think the best thing to do woould be to get a course book with CDs and listen to them as often as possible. Good course books are Langenscheidt's Teach Yourself Czech and also one called Chcete Mluvit Cesky.

- There is the Langenscheidt course which has CDs, and also Chcete Mluvit Cesky? = do you want to speak Czech?, which has cassettes which go with it - both courses are good though.

- There's also Teach Yourself Czech, which I am using. Not because it's particularly good, but because I could buy it cheaply in a second-hand bookshop. :)

- Howdy,

I'm working my way through Pimsleur's Czech program that has cassettes. I like the way they do the learning. They refer back to what you've learned in previous lessons multiple times, so you are building your vocab, not just learning some and then totally forgetting about it in the next lesson.

I looked around for anything that was audio, but never saw the two you mentioned, so I'll keep an eye out for them. However, since one is not titled in English I doubt it will be of use for me :(
