danish national dessert - I remember it is very hard to say... How is it written? what does it consist of? to my recolcetion, it's strawberries with flour (?) and cream, but I'm not sure what it is exactly.

- when I was staying in Denmark with my Danish friend, we went to her uncles birthday... and we had this absolutely devine cake sort of thing, it was a little like a sponge cake, with cream in the middle, lots of other cream and strawberries too I think. Sounds similar...

tak! - thank you, danke. by the way, I see you live in Heidelberg. I love that city! it's a little boring, but sehr schoen (very beautiful), especially at this time of year when the Hauptstrasse becomes one big Weinachtmarkt. nothing like a warm christmas punch on a freezing night...
I've lived there for a month last year and had a nice time, although foodwise - I didn't really enjoy it. My favorite (cheap) place to eat was the small Indian restaurant in Ploeck strasse, but there was also a cheap chinese restaurant where all the Americans go (just ask: where is the diner where all the Americans go), and a good Hungarian restaurant near the bismarckplatz. Enjoy your stay!

EDIT:
I found a site where they say it:

You did not have roed groed med floede, while we almost never have that in denmark... What you had was a Lagkage...

- I dont think there's a thing called "National dessert" in Denmark. However strawberries with cream and sugar is very popular. We use to get it like every single evening during the summer. Also 'rødgrød med fløde' is rather popular, however that phrase 'rødgrød med fløde' which means stewed fruit (with thickening) with cream is used to kinda tease foreign ppl.
E.g. if you meet a German guy during the holidays, the first thing a danish person would make him do is to say "Rødgrød med fløde".

Oh I know... - When I lived in my Kibbutz* we had many many Danish volunteers, and they asked me to say that. They said I did it perfectly... :)
