| Goedemorgen - Hoe gaat het? Ik spreek erg beetje Nederlands. Ik interesser me voor spreken beter. Dank u.
So as you can see, i need some help with this. It's a facinating language and i really would like to at least be proficient in it someday. I have a basic knowledge of Russian and French and of course I'm fluent in American English. I'll gladly trade what I know for anything you can help me with. Correct: Waar is iedereen? Kan je me helpen het Nederlands te begrijpen? 'ik' is a personal pronoun in the subject form, while you actually need to use the object form. It's the same in English. "je" is the subject, so the other personal pronoun must be in the object form. It's the same for English and that's your native language. "Where is everybody? Can you help me with understanding Dutch?" "me" is the indirect object while 'you' is the subject. The indirect object may never be written with a personal pronoun in the subject form. "Nederlander" Is the name of an inhabitant of the Netherlands. Lots of foreigners makes mistakes with it, I'll try to clear it up. Nederland << country (Netherlands) Nederlands << language (Dutch) Nederlander << male inhabitant (Dutchman) Nederlandse << female inhabitant (Dutchwoman) Nederlandse << adjective for Dutch stuff Ik woon in Nederland - I live in the Netherlands Ik spreek Nederlands - I speak Dutch Ik ben Nederlander - I'm Dutch (male) Ik ben Nederlandse - I'm Dutch (female) Ik wil Nederlandse kaas - I want Dutch cheese (adjective) for further questions contact me at nakasirika@hotmail.com Ron. | |
