Maffe werkwoorden - As you will have noticed, Dutch excels in compounding verbs with prepositions and everything.. And as you may or may not know, the meanings of the members of each family are often totally unrelated. What's more, even one of these verbs could mean multiple things that can be totally unrelated, and natives are usually not even aware of this (I only now realized it's kind of funny for a SWAT team to ask a kidnapper to "geef over", which could mean surrender but also be a request for him to thow up :))
(thanks for pointing out the previous example was erraneous, Daan :))

I just picked a few good candidates and thought of the variations, so tell me if I forgot something :)
I don't know if it's worth to learn this list (part of it surely is), but I just felt like doing this :p

- ivm overgeven - als ik mij niet vergis, komt 'geef over' enkel van overgeven, niet van zich overgeven

- Klopt; de in zin van kotsen is het niet reflexief, anders wel. Ik heb dat in die lijst ook duidelijk gemaakt, alle reflexieve werkwoorden heb ik van een 'zich' voorzien :)
