AU, NZ & SA English - Hi, does anyone know any phonetic or differences between English spoken in Australia, New Zealand or South Africa?
I know I'm generalizing and I apologize, but whe I watched [i]Gallipoli[/i] and [i]Whale Rider[/i] last night, there appeared to be some differences in the pronounciation of words by someone from New Zealand and Australia. I also saw a travel show (I forgot what it was) and the host travelled to a winery in South Africa. The representative offered him to try the wine in what sounded like an Australian accent. Again, sorry if I'm offending anyone, but I'm curious to find if anyone knows some information about this.
