| canadian looking to learn french - Hi!
I'm Canadian, living in Ontario, with a background in French (since our province / country forces us to take it in school for 10+ years, plus my mother is fluent in french). I'd have to say that I'm definitely at a beginner level, but have enough of a background that I'm not completely clueless in it. I'd like to start learning french a bit more so I can speak it at least somewhat fluently. I'm looking for preferably an email penpal who is fluent in French and at least a passing ability to communicate in English, so they can explain to me where I'm making mistakes, although this isn't a requirement. I'm willing to help in the area of english language education if this is desired as a trade off. My interests lie in computers (programming and web programming), role playing games (computers and tabletop), reading fantasy and horror novels, paintball, cross country cycling, yoga, working out at the gym, cats, dogs, hedgehogs (any pets actually), cooking, vegetarianism, horror movies, computer crime and investigations, industrial / goth styled music, the supernatural, ghost hunting, animal rights, forensics, paganism, bodyart (tattoos and piercing), anthropology, and probably many many other things that i haven't even thought of. I'm also university educated, with a very good grasp of the English language, spelling, and sentence structure.
