| French Class - Bonjour. I thought maybe someone could start up a French class using the Classroom. It is already happening for Irish and Russian, so why not French.
Thanks. | |

| - I think that would be cool and benificial to many people :) I agree it should happen. Lets start making suggestions on time and date in this thread. Please use dates not days lol. And when everything is done, I will TRY to make a post in everyones time zone of the agreed upon time. Anyone wanna try? | |

| - Is this just time to get together with other students? I can help beginners like Mattie, but after that, I need help myself. ;)
Mattie, 5p.m. to 6p.m. for you is 11p.m. to 12p.m. for me. Sounds good, but I won't have time until after AcaDec competition is over.

| - Hi everyone!
Mattie, you're not the first person to ask for a French class in the Classroomroom. Wenchy703 posted a message in this forum about the same topic one week ago. I guess you'll need help from a French native speaker. I'll be very glad to be present in the Classroomroom to answer all the questions you may have. I can also help with pronunciation. I think it's not a good idea to ask a non native speaker to help you (even for beginners!!!). You need a real native speaker who can master the language. It's not that easy to find (many French speaking people aren't able to write without making any mistakes). I think you should reconsider the hour you gave us for the lesson(5 pm to 6 pm). I don't wanna wake up at 6 or 7 am to give you a lesson ;) In my view it should also be better to create different groups. All of you aren't beginners, some people here such as Tina (teknogeek) already know French well. We should have maybe 2 or 3 groups. What do you think?

| - I'd do it, for sure. I go by Pacific Time...I'm free almost any evening since basketball season ended.
Several different levels would be a good idea as well, since I'm not a COMPLETE beginner, but I'm not nearly fluent.

| - Yea I think different groups are a great idea! We just need to set a schedule thats right for everyone. I would feel really bad if we had to make people work around their time just to be here :( . | |

| - I would like to participate as well. As for my French level, I am a beginner.
Thanks for putting this together. Morgan

| - If anyone is interested. Right now It isn't anything fancy, but I have made a webpage especially for this situation lol. Here the Classroom is kinda full alot. Soooooooo I made a page especially for us:
www.hometown.aol.com/yellanigra210/learningfrench.html This page now has a Classroomroom and a forum on it as well as links that I often use to help me with my french. Soon after gathering more information, I will post a schedule of times in many time zones that people will be online. Soon I am going to try to post lessons in the forum that we can go over in the Classroomroom and also inside the forum. To get in the Classroomroom it is going to require you to have the program Java I believe. Many computers come with java these days and if your doesn't then just download it :). When you go inside the Classroomroom it is going to ask you for a nickname and a short profile, for your profile I think it would be more benifical to put you level of french (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Native, etc.) Thanx I hope people will join ! Thanx :)
