Chinese territory - Hi all.
First of all, i need to say i don't want to give judgements on the chinese politics, at all.
I'd like to know what chinese people think about the decisions taken from China on some difficult themes like Tibet, Taiwan and Kashmir

I am not so clear about that - It's really a challenage to meet with such a big topic. As a Chinese,i tend to think that the taken decisions send mixed messages which Chinese people themselves are not so clear about

- Yes, it's true that some chinese people are not sure about that!

- At a time where the Central Asian Republics are beginning to oust thier respective corrupt poltical elites, surely this must give fresh confidence to the independence movements in Xinjiang and Tibet. The Chinese Government claims both of these territories as 'ancestral land of the Han peoples'; a statement that the natives of neither province would agree with. Is there a feeling within the Han majority of an 'ancestral' link with these provinces?

That's an interesting question and the major issue, i guess.
Chinese government seems to plead even the common linguistic root, for example, but as everyone can see, there's no congruences between the two languages (except the common language-family, sino-tibetan...)
I would like to know more and what people think about this issue (not just what government does...)

Everybody who wants to know what Chinese people think, you should come to Taiwan,Xinjiang and Tibet and ask the people there, the more people, the better.
