| Messages - Síniú means signature.
How do you close a message? In Irish, goodbyes tend to be blessings just like beginnings. Slán (Health) - Bye Slán go foill (Health still[yet]) - So long Slán tamall - (Health awhile) - Bye for now Slán agus beannacht Go dtí sin, slán. (Towards that, health) - Until then, bye. Go bhfeice mé thú - (to see me you) - Until I see you Is mise [name] (It is me, [name] ) - Yours Ádh mór (luck big) - Good luck It is customary to put your name on a separate line.

| - Síocháin leat (líbh, if speaking to more than one)
literally "peace be on you" (ye, if using líbh) is another way of bidding adeu. As is "slán abhaile" (safe home) in response to "slån go fóill" After "síocháin leat" my faviourite is "chífidh mé tú" (I'll see you)
