- wow, i think your Javanese better than me, who live in Java for almost 18 years !
:D

did you learn Javanese letter too, David? (aksara Jawa)

i used to learn Javanese in elementary school, and for daily conversation, usually i use a mix of Indonesian and Javanese 'ngoko'.
because of that (never learn Javanese formally), i cannot post anything in Javanese section :D

Hello Bennylin,

Actually my Javanese is still very 'amburadhul' but I'm learning bit by bit. I also have a website for Aksara Jawa at -

http://ausdag.fateback.com/jawa/index.htm

but I haven't had the time to add to it lately.

I'm interested in what you say about using a mix of Indonesian and Javanese for daily conversations. Please feel free to use ngoko with me 'ben akrab' :-)

Actually I am doing my Masters degree in Javanese socioloinguuistics and am focussing on reasons Javanese use Indonesian or Javanese during daliy conversation.

Which part of Java are you from? WOuld you mind If I corresponded with you and asked you some questions concerning this matter?

Thankyou for your reply,

Salam,

DavidG

aku iki wong Solo, iku lho, cedhake Jogja. mestine sampeyan ngerti tho? Wong Solo asli iki :p

aku gelem wae yen ditakoni, asal aku iso njawab, mesthi tak jawab. yen meh takon, mendhingan ngirim private message wae, soale aku jarang mrene (discuss boso jowo). aku luwih kerep menyang discuss boso indonesia.

takonno yen ora mudheng tulisanku.
