Jeszcze raz pytanie - The course I am takeing is just a list of sentences in Polish and English with no help. The sentences for today centered on say one thing is more than another. She is happier than he. They used 2 words for "than" "niż" and "od" I can't see a pattern.
Moja żona jest szczęśliwsza od żony mojego sąsiada.
Moja Zona jest młodsza niż żona mojego sąsiada.
I can't see a difference is there a rule
Proszę mi pomoc

- hi,
as far as I'm concerned there's no difference. I can list many examples and I see absolutely nothing different in them.

Mój kot jest starszy od Twojego.
Mój kot jest starszy niż Twój.

Oni są mądrzejsi od swoich dziadków.
Oni są mądrzejsi niż ich dziadkowie.

Maybe just choose the form with easier ending, as you can see they differ. I'm more likely to use the first one, however that's not the rule:)

I hope it helped.
