Pomóc mi - I am studying past tense in Polish and I have a question?
Otworzyłem drzwi i weszliśmy do środka.
(I opened the door and we walked in) weszliśmy = we walked
Ona poszła do kuchni.
She walked to the kitchen. poszła = she walked
Are there 2 different words for "walked" I understand different endings and prefixes but these are different words.
Proszę pomóc mi.
Steve

- Weszliśmy do = byliśmy wewnątrz (we were inside)
poszła do = szła z zamiarem, żeby wejść ale mogło się zdarzyć, że nie doszła (she had intention to be inside, but we are not quite sure that she was inside).
For example you were in a living room and your wife said "i am going to kitchen". And then your son asked you "Where is mum?", you could said "poszła do kuchni".
I'm only intermediate in English therefore I'm sorry if there is any mistake in my English.
If you are iterested in exchange Enlish-Polish teaching-lerning write me.
