| check it out - This guy sent out a bunch of helpful links. Check out Kennedy's Post "Portuguese Lessons Online" from 2004-10-23. Here it is posted below: Here's what I got so far: Portuguese Online - http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Foothills/6095/portuguese_online.htm A very good lessons page. It marks differences between Brazilian, Portuguese, African and Asian variants of the Portuguese language, and you can choose which variant to learn (from Brazil or from Portugal). The lessons seem to cover subjects thoroughly, and there are quizzes you can take. One of the best pages out there. Sonia-Portuguese.com - http://www.sonia-portuguese.com/ A very famous site, which teaches Brazilian Portuguese (although it can also serve for those learning the variant used in Portugal). Short Portuguese Lessons - http://alfarrabio.di.uminho.pt/spl/index.html An old page, last updated in 97. It has 6 Portuguese short lessons which might help. Some things are exclusively used in Portuguese from Portugal, though. The learner who is interested in Brazilian Portuguese should be attentive, and should any problem arise, ask for clarification here in the forum. De Tudo um Pouco - http://www.arts.gla.ac.uk/PortLang/transit.html Lessons in the Portuguese from Portugal. Brazilian Portuguese - http://www.saunalahti.fi/~huuhilo/portuguese/ Not a lessons page. More like a compendium of grammar (articles, verbs, nouns, etc.) and general language aspects (how to ask things, days, months, times of day, expressions, numbers, etc.). Portugisisk Grammatik - http://users.cybercity.dk/~nmb3879/porturam.html For those who are Danish, or who want to practice their Danish language skills, this page provides Portuguese lessons in Danish. História da Língua Portuguesa – http://www.linguaportuguesa.ufrn.br/ Page with the history of the Portuguese language. Differences in the Brazilian and Portuguese variants: 1. http://www.arts.gla.ac.uk/PortLang/brazport.html 2. I also posted a message about this here: http://www.phrasebase.c../../forum/read.php?TID=178 (it's the 6th post, by Kennedy) Peace. :-) - Ken and also, this post by Anabela has some helpful websites. Olá! (hello) http://www.instituto-camoes.pt portuguese from portugal (you can hear words and phrases) You can find some words and phrases http://www.smartphrase.com/Portuguese/po_general_words_voc.shtml#Day grammar(Please note that these pages are about BRAZILIAN PORTUGUESE, not European Portuguese) http://www.sci.fi/~huuhilo/portuguese/gb_articles.htm http://www.portugalmania.com/culture/langue/index.htm french In addition, there are a bunch of members/teachers/exchange-partners who are very helpful on this site, ex.
