A Song Translation - Ok. Nobody laugh at me when I post this, but my sister was watching an anime called "Escaflowne" and it had the most beautiful song. The movie had something to do with some dragon clan. But anyhow, I found the words to the song, and was hoping someone could help me with it. The person who posted these claimed they were "ancient Romanian". I've already been informed there is no such thing, so I have my doubts as to whether this is Romanian at all. But I thought I'd give it a try.

Win dain a lotica
En val tu ri
Si lo ta
Fin dein a loluca
En dragu a sei lain
Vi fa-ru les shutai am
En riga-lint
Win chent a lotica
En val turi
Silota
Fin dein a loluca
Si katigura neuver
Floreria for chesti
Si entina
Lalala…
Fontina Blu Cent
De cravi esca letisimo
Lalala…
De quantian
La finde reve
Win dain a lotica
En vai tu ri
Si lo ta
Fin dein a loluca
En dragu a sei lain
Vi fa-ru les shutai am
En riga-lint

This is the only translation mentioned in the English dub of the movie:

In the darkness the dragon wakes
To a heart numbed with cold the dragon takes.
With you at my side the dragon sleeps.
On dragon wing your wishes will leap.

I know this is may seem silly, but any ideas?

- It is not Romanian at all, old or new. It doesn't even have one Romanian word in it. I believe that it is an artificial language. However, those who know some least used dialects may have a different opinion (occitan? other?)

- some of the words seem romanian, but not too many, and almost all of them are two-letter words, so they virtually can be of any language (tu, si, ta, am, de, a, val, fin, for, turi)

the only pretty long word is "dragu", but it doesn't mean 'dragon', but '(my) dear'. and it's a spoken form, in fact it is written as 'dragul'

you can search the web for 'language indentification' services, such as
http://www.faganfinder.com/translate/identify.php
on this page i tried 10 different services, but had no reliable result, some said it is romanian, some - catalan, some - romantsch etc. some said the resemblance percentage is too low even for the closest language, some said 'not enough material'

considering all that, i agree with rbruma, that this looks like an artificial language, but you can try more language identification services

- Heh..heh... considering what it is from, and the source of the translation, I am not surprised. But thank you all so much for your help!!!! I really appreciate it. I may post a link to the song soon so you can hear it and tell me your opinions on the language.
