The Save Gaelic discuss (thanks to Diarmuidh for the link):

Gaelic phonology is difficult so I would start here:

Introduction to written language + links:
http://www.omniglot.com/writing/gaelic.htm

I've tried some of the lessons the above page links to and this is my favourite so far:
http://www.contemporarypoetry.com/brain/lang/

Edit: This one is very good too. The content reminds me of Teach Yourself Gaelic but is a bit more grammatical:
http://www.taic.btinternet.co.uk/

But this one is probably better used as revision:

A page of links to learners' material:

Beginners' lessons in German:
http://www.hp.europe.de/kd-europtravel/gaelic/gaelic0.htm

I haven't found any better dictionaries so far (this one is only in Gaelic -- select 'Beurla' to translate from English to Gaelic and 'Gŕidhlig' to translate from Gaelic to English):

Books/CDs

Teach Yourself Gaelic -- Boyd Robertson and Iain Taylor
ISBN: 0071418849
Read reviews etc.: amazon.com page

I'm using this book and it's a very good introduction so far (a couple of minor improvements could be made, such as the order in which they introduce different phrases, but nothing major). I've heard from a couple of more advanced Gaelic learners that it's a good beginner's resource, as well.

If you want the new version of this book, with CDs, make sure you get the one with the ISBN above.

I'll edit and add more links as I find them, and some book recommendations. If you know any, please post them =)

- Gu math! 'S toil leam a bhith ag ionnsachadh Gŕidhlig. Tha i brčagha.

I've been neglecting my Gŕidhlig studies a bit, but Teach Yourself Gaelic is a pretty good book.

- Hey thanks for this information because I've been searching everywhere for scots gaelic links and I couldn't find ANYTHING! I easily found things for my welsh and irish learning, but now I can really dive into gaelic, so thanks a bunch
