| Anyone can teach me Swedish? - I am a Czech girl living in Spain and I am seeking someone to teach me Swedish. I have a Swedish boyfriend useless to be my teacher :o) I love Sweden, was there for the first time in November 2004 (Stockholm, Linkoping) and I hope to come back soon again especially as the weather wasn't really good to see much. I know almost nothing from Swedish except couple of phrases which I mainly use to entertain my Swedish friends but they are really not useful for a conversation with others ;o) My boyfriend is coming back from the States in March and I would love to surprise him that I am better in his native language. I love Swedish language - find it really nice to hear, have some songs on my PC and am really enjoying listening to them. I know a bit of German and thanks to it and my knowledge of English I find Swedish language not so difficult as there definitely are some similarities. Will be delighted to hear from someone who can help me to learn. Thanks. Petra | |

| - Hi Petra! I am trying to get a Swedish Language Study Group going here on PhraseBase. I have spoken with two others that would like to study with us. None of us are fluent in the language, but we hope to use a text book and study together, posting our work and our questions on the message boards here. This is the text book we plan to use: If you're interested in joining us, please let me know. I'll be posting a message in the Swedish section of the boards in a few days after I've heard back from some others about joining. You can also feel free to send me a private message if you'd like to join our group. Best wishes for your language studies! | |
