Where to start ... - I am also a little stumped about where to start with Tamil. I guess the first few things I would like to know are these: 1. Can you suggest a good English-Tamil dictionary 2. Is there such a thing as a verb conjugation/grammar book for Tamil? 3. Perhaps we could design our own curriculum which you could use later to teach others if you wish. Generally when I learned other languages, the way it worked was that we were given a vocabulary list of about 25-35 words a week that are thematically designed. For instance, one week could be about the basic hello how are you and simple words like that. The next week could be all about colours. The next could be numbers, then the next would be simple nouns (cat, dog, rat, etc.). Each week would have a simple phrases to accompany the vocab. I don't know. These are just ideas that I have.

The other thing I want to know is whether or not there is some sort of program so that you can type in Tamil letters. Otherwise the words will have to be written in the Roman alphabet (i.e. like English) ...
