Dissapointed - Hello, is there anybody in there? Just nod if you can here me. Is there anyone at home?

It has become quite obvious to me that Welsh is the least learned language on this site and that is down right sad. Its only the most beautiful of all the Celtic languages! Come on people, lets get the ball rolling. Are you there? Well I'm here and I want to learn Welsh gosh darnit. Teach me! Cymru or Cambria -which is more proper?

Cymru am byth! "Wales forever!" - hi Mystic eyes, I'm with you:)
been learning the language thru the web since last
summer and I know that welsh is the best starting
point among all other celtic languages and culture
out there.I enjoy learning it, though I dont have
any chance of practicing my welsh, but...here i hope
i can help ppl with the lang and practice my welsh.
and the reason why im learning the language, well,
I love celtic culture and folklore, the language
and the folkloric songs are fascinating, etc etc:)

and remember: "Cenedl heb iaith
Cenedl heb galon"

"a nation without a language
is a nation without a heart" Welsh Proverb

many thanks - Thanks for the tip. I was delighted to see that you are from Turkey and have such admiration for Wales. I certainly think it's the most interesting culture on that island. Let me learn some basics and then we can learn more advanced Welsh together. I have a feeling that there are Welsh natives that use this site but don't want to teach anyone what they know. It's a shame to see a people so defeated and without pride. You would think that they would want people to learn Welsh and appreciate their renown culture. Until then take care!

Learning Welsh ... - Because my girlfriend is half Dutch / half Welsh we visited her family in Wales in 2003 (would love to go more often, but that's more of a money issue ;-) ) and I was amazed ... nice people, great land.

Besides driving on the wrong ... eh .. 'other' side of the road (I know I know ;), I did noticed the Welsh language ... it's a great language and it would be nice to be able to know and pronounce some basic sentences :-) ... I mean, I couldn't learn a lot from the roadsigns only ;-)

Anyway, I hope to learn a little Welsh here at this site. I still have to check out the BBC - Wales site ...

Regards,
Ronald
