| Happy to Teach - Look I have put up several posts telling people that I am willing to help. But no one has written me. So If you want to learn, send me an E-mail saying your name, address, how much welsh you know, why you want to learn and put the subject as welsh lessons to my new address at davidjohn88@gmail.com

| - I agree with you Dai, there are a lot of people asking for help but no one follows up on it. I guess it depends on how serious they want to learn. A lot of people here on phrasebase are trying to learn various languages at once, so their priorities might be different. Welsh might be at the bottom of their list.
Be patient, I'm sure if they are truly serious about learning, they will contact you. In fact, I hosted an Irish lesson yesterday and only 2 people came of the 5 that RSVPed and said they would come. Of course, things happen and there are always going to be no shows. It all depends on how serious you are about learning. For me, I am very serious. Unfortunately, I am not interested in learning Welsh, but I study Irish everyday in my free time. Ádh mór! Good luck! Slán, Christine

| - Lots of people may want to learn - but most people are very unwilling to give their full personal details - (something I don't do and my kids are forbidden from doing, as you do not know who you are giving this info to)So you may find this is putting people off from taking up your offer | |

| - I agree with you also Maz, that information isn't really necessary to learn. You don't need their email, name or address, but a screen name so that you can maybe Classroom with them or do voice Classroom on an instant messenger would be helpful.
Of course, you can avoid having to give any information all together and just PM the person right here on phrasebase and have your lessons in the phrasebase Classroomroom like many people choose to do. The admins are currently working on improving Classroomroom, but I host lessons in there all the time and I never ask for personal information. It works fine for me and my students. A microphone is also helpful in the phrasebase Classroomroom, but not necessary. I find it useful to have a microphone to give lessons, so they can hear my pronunciation and I also use a webcam to show them which books I am using. Of course, those are both optional. Good luck with the Welsh! (Sorry I can't help with Welsh, I am not currently learning this language) Christine

| - I agree. Giving out info like that is a little disconcerning. | |

| - I think by address he means email address (because when referring to his own email address he simply called it his address). If you're already going to email him, I'm sure it's not a problem if he knows your email address. And no one said you had to give your full name, or even your real name.
I would like to learn Welsh. But I'll send you a message on here as it's more convenient, as others have mentioned. Hope that's okay.

It's kinda cool to learn a language from more than JUST a book, trust me on that. Oh gods do I HATE book-only language study. >.< /me hides Elvish study guides under Welsh grammer books
