Unicode Support 2 - Hello.

I would really appreciate it if Unicode would be supported in PMs.
I have received some PMs, but all Hiragana or Katakana had been converted into &#(number); form.

Also, in the discuss, I have encountered problems whenever I edit my messages which include Unicode.

Since I know the labors of administrators, I usually do not make a request for something like this.
However, I guess it was very hard for them to write a message using Hiragana or Katakana, and I do not want to waste their efforts.

- Maki!
Thank you for your wish request. I agree with the need to support Unicode in PM's. I've had a hard time responding to translation requests, because Cyrillic all shows up in the number codes.
I don't know how feasible it is to do this right away, but eventually it would be nice.
For now, it's possible to use the Document Translation discuss for this purpose, and even Classroom.

You mention that there are editing issues in the discuss, can you elaborate on what is happening? What kind of encoding system are you using for Hiragana/Katakana? (Is it country specific or universal?)

Thank you for your post!

- Hi, Anya :)

Well, I think the problem comes from the fact that this discuss uses iso-8859-1.
This code is suitable for languages of western Europe, but not for other languages.

UTF-8 would be better, but I'm not sure.

Thank YOU for your reply.
You are always so kind ;)
