would like to learn danish - Hi, i would like to know if there are any danish people that would be interested in language exchange, i would like to learn danish and i could teach finnish or spanish (i am a spanish teacher)

I am = jeg er

You are = du er

He/She/It is = han, hun, den/det (depending on the antecedent\'s gender) er

We are = vi er

You (pl) are = I (always written with a capital letter) er

They are = de er

There are also polite forms, but I don\'t believe that many Danes use them anymore, eh, Stine? ^_^

- Thanks! :) could you tell me how to pronounce things as well please? Is it virtually like German, or do you miss letters out in some words? tkx

No, not really. At times the polite form are used when addressing elderly people, or in formal letters such as letters from the bank and so on :)

I\'d say Danish and all its sounds are something you have to hear :) You do miss out letters in some words and in other words the letters aren\'t pronounced the way they \"should\"
