Building my Dutch vocabulary? - Hello "friends":D,
My New Year's resolution is simply to build up my base of Dutch vocabulary words. I have reached the point in my Dutch studies, where just learning new Dutch words will help me tremendously, to write, speak, and read authentic Dutch material :)...
What has worked well for advancing students who are, like me, isolated from native Dutch speaking people in my daily life here in the U.S.; using flashcards(index
cards...), writing Dutch vocabulary words in a notebook, simply reading the entries in a Dutch-English, or English Dutch dictionary, reading Dutch newspapers on the Internet, reading Dutch magazines on the Internet, etc.? I would like to optimise the Internet in my quest to learn lots of new Dutch words, but I simply do not know how to make the best use of my time. Any suggestions from either native Dutch speaking people or Dutch students will be greatly appreciated!
Many blessings to you all in the New Year :)!

my option - Hi, my method for building up vocabulary is simply to pick up a book and a dictionary in the desired language and do the hard work. That helped me a lot when I was 14 yo and decided to read George Orwell's "Animal Farm" :D
Ok, i don't know nothing about Dutch, but it must work in any language i guess. Good Luck and Happy New Year!
