Egyptian weekly lessons: Hello Egyptian students, salam :)
I have been inactive for a quite long time ... I will hopefully have more time for helping students starting from 29th July! So, I am planning to give a series of Egyptian grammar-based classes in PB classroom ... the only knowledge i assume with students is the Arabic alphabet [because teaching them online would be quite boring].
If you are planning to attend, please let me know ... I need to know class time preferences (a first suggestion is every saturday @ 5pm GMT), suggestions, etc.

I just found I need to give more details:
1- You can learn Arabic alphabet and reading through this free website, I find it very nice:

2- What I will teach here is the Egyptian dialect of Arabic (the language spoken in Egypt definately). If you want to learn the Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) ( the langue used in newspapers .. etc, for more info, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modern_Standard_Arabic ) rather than Egyptian, I will give also MSA lessons (see http://www.phrasebase.com/forum/read.php?TID=15741 ).
3- The expression 'grammar-based classes' may be scary ... but I don't mean the classes will be on 'Egyptian Language Grammar' ... I simply extract basic and simple grammar rules and use them as 'templates' for teaching students ... I believe this is an effective and fast way of learning the language ... you can check the initial lessons plans here:

As Chrsitiano, the student who attended the class yesterday, noticed, we had big problems ... Phrasebase classroom was down, so we had to do it through Paltalk! I apologize for all students who missed the class because of that ... the contents of the first class (and other classes) are available under:

For not having such mess next class, I think doing the class through Skype is the best solution, there're conference call features!

I'm sorry to say I won't be able to give the class tomorrow (19th August) ... I got some unavoidable thing to do at the time of class ... so Next class will be next Saturday 26th August (insha'Allah) ... maybe it's a good chance to review the previous 3 lessons ... please check the website in the following days, I will put exercises on the previous lessons.

yes at some point I will restart it insha'Allah but honestly don't know when, from one side, you used to be almost the only one who comes to the classes regularly (best student prize for you :) ), so when you stopped, I decided to hold the class off ... from the other side, I'm betting too busy these weeks with my studies, don't know when I can find time for the class. so, I will post here (and PM you) when I restart it ...
