dictionary:

Which English meanings of "some" do these describe?

- ghadr itself means mostly quantity, it also kinda means the value of somthing
ex. " een che ghadre?" how much is this

meghdaar also means quantity

In the name of God - Hi
You can use both of them. However if the second word (after some)is a material, perhaps مقداری is a better choice, and if it is an abstract, using the word “قدری” is better.
Be careful both of them can not be used about countable things like book or car and so on.

Good Luck
