| In the name of God - Hi 1) first name of my cat=نام کوچک گربه ام 2) name of my first cat=نام اولین گربه ام Be careful نام اول or اولین نام is not a suitable equivalent for "first name" in Farsi. | |

| In the name of God - Hi
oh so then it's not like in English? then is the last name considered as the 'big' name since the first is considred small?
No, Use «نام خانوادگی» or «فامیل» instead. Big name is meaningless.
well, it changes much. so i understand that نام اول or اولین نام means that: for example i called cat as 'Schweine' but my girl didnt like it and made me to change it for 'Kitty' and not to use the first one anymore, so question: چه اولین نام گربه ات بود؟ would be gut.
،To correct grammatical error: «اولین نام گربه ات چه بود؟» and also it is better to say: «نام قبلی گربه ات چه بود؟»
if a man's full name is "John Mark Smith" and I want to know his first name i would ask him: چه نامت کوچک است؟ . following this how would i ask for his second name and surname?
This sentence grammatically is not correct. Consider this sentence: «نام کوچکت چیست؟ » Good Luck | |
