| Accent Training - I was wonder, is there anyone interrested in improving their French accent. To learn how to sound like a french person, instead of a person trying to sound like a french person. I don't know how we could go about this, but I'd really be interrested. I think that many people would like to have a new French accent, it is one of the many great things about the language. If people are interrested, please post your thoughts here, and together we might be able to come up with a way to actually make it happen! This would be very great! My thoughts: I would love to have a thick french accent, *thinking about it now* :D. I think that somehow there is a way to go about this. But I think that if you come up with something that it should be more inventive than just something like "Listen and Repeat". We should learn the French accent, and then even apply it with words in your native language, so that one can get a better hold on the french accent. One person here, besides the native speakers, who I know has a nice French accent! RION! Very nice, very nice. :D I am interrested in seeing and knowing what other people think about this topic. It could be another thing that would help develop the French Forum a little more. :D | |

| - We should record ourselves speaking with a French accent, to see how much we need to practice. HAHA, you might laugh at mine. I recored myself the other day, and I nearlly died laughing!!!! :p There are various sites where we can upload voice files, aren't there? My voice seems to sound more like an evil Nazi guy when I'm trying to speak with a French accent. :p | |

| - Hahahahahaha! I think that I could do that. I would speak in French of course lol. Not daring enough to do a French accent in English. I've recorded myself before and listened, wow, I do not think that I sound French. | |

| - LMAO AaRon thankies ^_^ It's really not that good, but my friends tell me it's cute. :s hmmm... Your accent wasn't BAD in that recording you sent me ages ago, so stop worrying! The most difficult things about French pronunciation are obviously the 'r' (which should be softer than many over-zealous foreigners make it, including myself, but also some vowels in certain positions. For example, many foreigners pronounce the following (some of them made-up lol) words the same: mutant muton mouton moutant moutin mutin mutain moutain muteint mouteint mouteau muteau ...etc They should all be different. I'm sure most of you will know the difference, but that's all that came to mind right now ^_^ | |
