| - Because I\'m nowhere near being able to form complicated sentences in French, I\'ll say it in English ;) I voted for the last one...I kind of fell in love with the rhythms and beauty of the language, and decided I would LOVE to learn it :D So far, I\'ve found the grammar far easier than German (the only other language I know well), although pronunciation is still kind of hard. I didn\'t know what a CV is, I don\'t really want to be a translator, my girlfriend doesn\'t speak French, I haven\'t fallen in love with any songs/singers who speak French, I have no French heritage, I already have a feel for others languages via German, I don\'t learn languages mainly in order to be able to speak to more people, and my town is 100% American... So that eliminates 8 out of the 10 ;) French culture is interesting, but I didn\'t choose it because of that either, I chose it because I loved the sounds of it. :D | |

| - Ok\'s, one anwser is not enough; Yesterday I realized that French is the only language I can\'t help listening (though I don\'t understand it) it sounds so beuatiful. I like all about France, that\'s why I\'ll study French at L\'Alliance Francaise, so I\'ll be able to know the french culture, to communicate with the French community (it\'s generally touch with it), and of course, I\'ll be able to speak to a bigger amount of people. That is!!! C\'est tout!!! A bientôt!!! | |

| - CV is Curriculum Vitae, it\'s where you write all the things you\'ve done (proffesionally speaking) and all your studies and what you use when you want to apply for a job. In my case, I chose the second option, although I like French a lot and I love being able to communicate in French to the French community and to stay in touch with it. It\'s also obvious that, as a translator I\'ll be, if I study French, that will improve my CV. :D | |

| - I chose: 7) I want to feel what\'s understanding another language, one different from the one I always speak, because it sums up more than one reason why I want to learn French. I of course want to know how it feels to speak another langauge but the reason I chose French is because it sounds so beautiful and it is such a common langauge that I will be able to communicate with a very large variety of people. I want to move to France one day, and to travel around every country where French is spoken. Paris is number one! I feel that I\"m going to need to speak French perfectly though, because the French are stereotypically known to be quite rude and protective about their langauge! :) | |

| - Bonjour tout le monde:) J\'ai répondu \"because I like the French culture\". J\'ai commencé le français grace à la raison \"I want to be able to speak to a bigger amount of people\" et je continue également parce que \"I want to feel what\'s understanding another language, one different from the one I always speak\". | |

| - I can\'t remember why,but I was more eager when I found out I was not part dutch but part french and was told my surname was \"de fontaine\" not \"van r-----n\" the name i\'ve always had. Though I was a francophone for quite some time already. | |

Je choisis \"8) I want to be able to speak to a bigger amount of people\", mais 1 et 4 sont propres aussi. | |

| - Hmm... narni you forgot a lot of your French, didn\'t you? ;) your 1st sentence should be : \"J\'étudiais le français pendant 4 ans au lycée/les 4 ans de lycée\" (I think the later is more accurate) I used the Imparfait here because it was a long action that took a period of time in the past, and the pendant because depuis means that you\'ve been studying up till now, and secondary/high school is called lycée in French. :) Also we don\'t use à for countries, we use en, à is for cities. I hope you don\'t mind the corrections, just thought you might wanna know because I remember how I was like before, I was much much worse than you, but you\'ll get better with practice soon.

D\'accord ben, j\'ai choisi le choix \"Because I like French culture\" car c\'est ca! | |

| - I want to learn French because it could be useful someday. And I don\'t want to be viewed as the typical non-latino american(nothing wrong with latino-americans, they are just the most multi-lingual group that I can think of, which I give them props for learning 2 or more languages) that only knows English. Americans are known for their laziness when it comes to foreign language, and I don\'t want to fit into that category. I also want to be able to use it, and there\'s a chance I could be in France someday, or Canada, and I would like to understand, and be understood. | |
