| ΕΛΛΑΔΑΡΑ!!!!! - The participation of the Hellenic National Basketball Team in the Final of the MundoBasket in Japan is the biggest succes of the Greek Team Sports ever. The victory of our national team against the USA team in the Semifinals today made us all the Greeks very happy and proud. I am especially happy because basketaball is a sport that i like the most, and because we beat the absolute favorite which was the USA Team. Congratulations to all the guys in our national team and good luck to the Final. Φέρτε μας το κύπελλο οεοεοε!!!!! | |

| - It is indeed a great success, and the higher the quality of the defeated team, the greater the victory. Pano, don\'t drink too much today to celebrate, ok? ;) | |

| - I think squeak means the Euro2004 in footbal, which took place in Portugal. :) But Greece also won the Euro2005 in basketball, as dusicaBG said. :) :) Unfortunately, we made an awful performance in the final of the MundoBasket, and we lost :( :( Spain is the new world champion in basketball, and to be fair, they really deserved it. This did not really prevented the Greeks though from getting out of their houses and celebrating in the streets [just give us a reason and we\'ll start celebrating :)] | |

| - I am so sorry I left Greece just the day before the semi-final. I wish I could have been there to celebrate together with Greeks. And one of my most spectacular experiences was European basketball championship in Athens in 1987. (I know, I know, but I am not THAT old. I was veery young then). I was there to support then Yugoslav national team (you remember Drazen Petrovic, Sasa Djordjevic, Kukoc, Radja, Divac...). But, Greece had Galis, Yanakis, Fasoulas, Christodoulo and, above all, the supporters. I must admit they looked little bit scary for me at that time, but anyway, with their support, Greece became the European champion. Eventhough our bus with Belgrade plates had to be escorted by Greek police all the way out of Athens, I don`t think I will ever get such a great feeling. | |

[yes, I am that old...]. Well, I was ten years old at the time and I rememberjumping up and down on our couch and eventually breaking the wooden stuff underneath it :p The moment the final between Greece-Soviet Union ended, the song that was heard in the stadium was \"the final countdown\" by Europe [does anyone rememeber the song?] Everytime I hear its intro I get goosebumps :) Welcome back squeak ;) | |

| - The ending \"-αρα\" makes the subject bigger, something like the superlative form of an adjective. This is for the female nouns and sometimes for some neutral nouns. \"-αρος\" is used for the male and neutral nouns. It is [b]not formal[/b]; you will not find it in the properly spoken form of the laguage. E.g. η γυναίκα - woman η γυναικάρα - great/stunning/fantastik woman [mostly talking about external appearance] | |
