- Hmmm, I do feel a little robbed but...I guess we΄ll survive. ;) Apparently something happened to the whole database. Phew, do I feel lucky now that I didn΄t postpone recording the words. :p

1st round
η αγάπη
η βάρκα
η γιαγιά
το δάσος
η ευχαρίστηση
η ζήλια
ο ήλιος
η θάλασσα
η ιστορία
ο κόσμος
η λιακάδα
μικρός
το νοσοκομείο
ξαφνικά
το όνομα
το παπούτσι
τα ρούχα
το σύννεφο
τίποτα
το ύμνος
το φασόλι
το χρώμα
το ψάρι
ωραίος

2nd round
το αίμα
ο βάτραχος
η γυναίκα
δ________
το έθνος
ζ________
η ημέρα

In the end, this whole misfortune provides me with the opportunity to post something...I intended to post anyway. :p Do you guys use flashcards in your learning? I\'ve decided to give them a go and recorded the words we have used in this game; I intend to keep on doing so. The software I use is Interlex, it\'s freeware and can be downloaded from this site. If you happen to use it too or would like to try it out I\'d be happy to share my already compiled files with you. Post here or send me a PM, whichever you find easier. :)

And Janecito, I love the name you found for our game. \"Greek from Α to Ω\", τι ωραία! :)
And now, let΄s get back to learning some more Greek.

η θέα - view, sight

Thanks for welcoming me, Janecito. :) But...I\'m afraid that, rather than clarifying your confusion, I\'ll just add my own about that word. Not only did I also found these two words meaning \"money\" but I\'ve also found the form \"λεπτα\" in my dictionary. Can I just blame it on a typo or is there more?

I don\'t think it\'s a typo – my dictionary says: λεπτά = λεφτά, so abviously both forms are possible. I don\'t know whether it\'s a question of register (formal / informal) of regions (dialects) etc. No idea. Let\'s wait around for a native to clearify our doubts. :) Although I remember coming across something like that with other words already (maybe the difference between οχτώ and οκτώ is something similar?).

And my next word is...

Re λεπτά/λεφτά και χρήμα, my teacher uses λεφτά, but the KYPROS online course uses χρήμα (or rather the plural χρήματα), so I guess you can use either.

- Ladies and gentlemen!

We are entering the 5th season of our Greek vocabulary building game \'Ελληνικό γλωσσάρι - Greek from Α to Ω\'. We\'ve reached the point where words are very likely to begin repeating themselves. Therefore, I thought maybe it wouldn\'t be a bad idea if we started making a reference list of the words that have already appeared in our game. I took the liberty of making the list of the words we mentioned so far and I put it here. So, what do you think? Should we make this our reference and refresh it, let\'s say, once every round?

And here goes my next contribution:

ωραίος, -α, -ο (pretty, beautiful)

next: α

I just wanted to make the list of words where everyone could check whether the word (s)he\'s about to post hasn\'t already been posted. It would be great though if we could add English translations to that as well. Maybe for starters we could just post the Interlex files (you\'ve compiled so far) and everyone that wishes to use them in their vocabulary practice can download them. Anyway, I\'ll send you a PM too... :)
