| - Merhaba arkadas! Well, hafakan (is your name Mirza? ) i like your post here. The truth is that no reasonable person can hate other people because of their different nationality, colour, religion etc. At least this is what i believe, and i think the vast majority in my contry share the same thoughts with me. If i could say my opinion about Turkey here i would say this: First, i am not politician, or specialist in foreign affairs, but i think that the effort of Turkey to join the European Union is good for Turkey and Greece and the EU. But, i think this effort must be done according to the rules and the status that EU represents and not according to the rules that some nationalist circles in Turkey would wish. I mean, it is Turkey that must meet Europe (the many ) and not Europe that must meet Turkey. At least i think this is the right thing and for Turkish people also. That means, more respect in human and civil rights, more democratic rules, better conditions for ethnic and religion minorities etc. I am not judging Turkey here. I know that in Turkey the Army is very powerful, and interferes strongly in politic affairs and also is a big economic power, having shares in Turkey's biggest companies. This is the so called 'Deep State' of Turkey. You live in southeastern Turkey, in an area that many people are Kurdish speakers -probably you are Kurdish also - and so you know what i am talking about. I think that simple people like you and me have nothing to fight about, and the more democratic Turkey becomes the better the neighbouring relationships for Greece and Turkey. Finally, to lighten things up, i have watched some episodes of the soap you refered to, the 'Yabanci damat' - foreign groom (did i write it right? ). You know how the title is in the Greek tv? 'Τα σύνορα της αγάπης' - Borders of love. Tamam? :) I will be happy if you read my lessons and you find it helpful. Take care, and love from Greece. P.S. i like your moto in your signature | |

| kalimera! - merhaba arkadas! i am grateful to you as i got a reply from you. first of all i thank you for this long reply.that is good. it is nice to hear you liked the moto i use as signiture. i agree with you about EU. we know all countries have diffucilties to join the EU.all Greece and Greeks experienced this situation.we are aware of that but as you said we cant fight for that as simple individuals.i mean people who arent politics or else. also we congragulate Greece Army as they dont join Nikiforos this year.it is important to communicate without fighting and all people should know that "Greece and Turkey arent eternal enemies" i recommend you to visit Turkey.i can host you in Diyarbakır,southeast. that is right i am Turkish Kurdish. but if to be honest people of southeast need money more than democrasy.problem is about economy more than social rights.we need that much. but day by day everything is getting better here about Turkish Kurdish citizens of our country. anyway here is a site about language so lets talk about Greek! i like it...i will study lessons you wrote here. you are big chance of me!! i had heard "Yabancı Damat" is called as" Borders of Love" it is funny... i hope to keep in touch with phrasebase! and Greek forum! endaksi? tamam.. loves from Turkey to Greece(Türkiyeden Yunanistan'a selamlar) Yunanistan = Greece Yunan or Yunanlı = Greek kendine iyi bak! (take care of yourself!) adios ps: my name is Osman. you can also call me as "Mirza". i hope my pic is not ugly :) | |

| we're all the same...really! - i often visit a greeksingles site and reading the messageboards i see alot of hatred towards the turks and ongoing debate wether people from cypros should be allowed to be called greek. Seams some try to push any foreign out of there no matter where they're from but there are really many foreigners even its a greek site. I am really surprised with all this not so hospital attitude since this is not what you see when you go to Greece. But this is not a discussion here, but would have loved to see you both at that site, bet many could learn from you both!!! i still love the greek people and i will MAKE you love me too!! Love your lessons Panos...but wish someone could translate it into my language cause i really dont know the english terms for the verbs.Yes you wrote it in your post but need to understand what it is in norwegian to fully GET iT!
