Use of 're' - Για, έχω μια ερώτηση.
on greek chats i noticed people often used short word 're'. please tell me what does it mean and how can be used.

moreover id like to ask if its correct.
ειμαι ο ψηλότερος απο σας ολους.
i wanted to say: i'm the tallest of all of you.

this little word 're' is very commonly used between friends or knowns,doesn't mean anything, it is like 'hey' or 'hey man' in english. in post times it was considered rude expression but now it is used for familiarity. It is like argentinian word 'che' , if you know the story...

"είμαι ο ψηλότερος από όλους ( ε )σας." This is more apropriate, but your phrase was pretty close to the right

- you know, many people feel angry if you call them with "ρε"
dont use it so much.
