lekker\'s \"death\" :) - Hi all!
Don’t worry, I am not really dead (or don’t be too happy :p ), but only changed my username.
From now on, I am a new Administrator of Hebrew forum and you should turn to me as “Mister Administrator” ;) . Well “My Lord” (translation of my name in Hebrew) is still good. :)

As you can pay attention I moved to Holland and I begin my studies in Delft University of Technology. I rented a very nice apartment (but also incredibly expensive) in the center of this extremely beautiful city. It has a lot of little canals all around the city, and in fact, from my bedroom I have a view on one of these canals with swans and ducks swimming there.
In this country everything is done very slowly for good and for bad. I asked to connect my apartment to the internet and got an answer that it will take one month. For now, I use library facilities and wireless connection in café. For this reason I’ll have only a limited access to our forum in the next month.

As I can see since I have moved to Delft there is no activity in this forum. What happened?
Are you all fluent in Hebrew?
Anyway, don’t hesitate to ask questions and to PM me. I promise to answer as fast as I can.

Eli

- Welcome back! Since this forum has been bereft of new questions, I\'ll throw one out:

I\'ve been studying conversational Hebrew for about a month, and haven\'t been able to find any decent online resources for introductory Hebrew grammar. Does anyone here know of any?

- When I was in your position, I was unable to find anything particuarly useful online, unless I was to pay for it. The following was my favorite online resource, but only the first one or two lessons are free: http://www.milingua.com/HebrewBeginnersFree/BeginnersFree.htm

My suggestion would be to look for something in print.

As far as strict grammar is concerned, I found that a book called \"Modern Hebrew: An Essential Grammar\" by Lewis Glinert covers the grammatical issues in an introductory format quite well, and has exercises as well(answers apparently not in the book however). But I would caution against using it to learn Hebrew, as it covers grammar issues very strictly, and doesn\'t try to really teach you the language.

You may want to check with your local university for books under the subject heading \"Hebrew Language Grammar\".

If your concern is learning conversational language and not strictly grammar, you might want to check out \"Colloquial Hebrew\" by Tzipi Lyttleton and Tamar Wang. I looked through a few sources, including college textbooks, although by no means extensive, and this book, which comes with CDs and tapes, was my favorite. There are a few mistakes in the book, but on the whole it is helping me a lot with self-study.

Best of luck to you.

שלום
