| - Welcome Draw_Near2 to the Hebrew Forum. Just a beginner here also. How are you? Hebrew (Israel) [to man] Ma shlomkha? Hebrew (Israel) [to woman] Ma shlomekh? (found it on a website, maybe one of the fluent Hebrew speakers could verify):) | |

| - Hi everyone! I\'m a native speaker of Hebrew and i\'ll be happy to help you learn some of it. a few general phrases: 1.How are you? = ma shlomkha (for male) / ma shlomekh (for female) 2.What\'s your name? = ma shimkha? (male) / ma shmekh (female) a little less formal way of asking can be: ekh kor\'im lekha?(m) / ek kor\'im lakh?(f) 3. I need help = ani tzarikh ezra (male speaking) / ani tzrikha ezra (female speaking). 4. Hello = shalom (the most useful word in Hebrew). 5. Goodbye = lehitra\'ot 6. Thank you [very much] = toda [raba] 7. Please = bevakasha 8. I love you = ani ohev otakh (male to female) / ani ohevet otkha (female to male) 9. Yes = ken 10. No = lo I hope it gives you a bit of a start, and you can ask me any question you might have. behatzlakha (good luck)! roee | |
