| - It is not a letter. It\'s a sign which is used for shortening a word. For example: Doctor = דוקטור = ד\"ר By heart (like to tell a poem by heart) = על-פה = ע\"פ Sometimes it is used to show abbreviation: נצח ישראל לא ישקר = ניל\"י I hope it helps :) | |
