Tell us about yourself - be'Ivrit! - I recieved this idea from the German language forum, and thought it might be a good idea to incorporate it here as well for those of you who are currently brushing up their conversational Hebrew.

Write a short paragraph about where you live and how to get to your house or city from a landmark or another specific location, feel free to add any information about your city.

I'll begin!

שלום, שמי לירון ואני גרה בעיר הרצליה, צפונית מתל-אביב.
על מנת להגיע אליי הביתה מנמל התעופה "בן גוריון", יש לעלות על הכביש המהיר לכיוון צפון ולנסוע עשרים דקות עד ליציאת "הרצליה מרכז". הדרך אליי הביתה משם איננה ארוכה, אני גרה במרכז הרצליה.

הרצליה היא עיר קטנה ומעט משעממת, אבל היא שוכנת על חוף הים ובערבים רוח הים מגיעה אליי עד לחלון!

אני נולדתי בגרמניה, אבל עכשיו גר בקליפורניה. אני גר סמוך את החוף.

Okay, so that's kind of short, but I think its mostly correct grammatically speaking. lmk if there are any fixable spots.

It is almost completely correct, good job!
The only 2 things I'd fix are spelling mistakes, but grammatically you are correct :)
נישמה -> נשמע
and
ליהיתרות -> להתראות
thats it ;)

There aren't so many mistakes here, and BTW I can see in your response how when translating from English to Hebrew things can get messy.
שלום כל אחד is literally (hello everyone - כל is every and אחד is one) but that is not the way you use it in Hebrew...
You can use כולם to mean 'everybody'.

שם שלי ג'יימס, אבל קרימלי ג'ים.
literally "my name James, but callme Jim (did I write it correctly..?) so to write this correctly in Hebrew you'd write
קוראים לי ג'יימס, (literally "[they] call me James", but means "my name is James")
אבל קראו לי ג'ים ("but call me Jim").

אני גר בבאר שבעץ. - Not much of a mistake, I'm sure this just happened when you typed... but there is no ץ in באר שבע.

אני רוצה ללמוד עברית אבל היא קשה מאוד.
This is the hardest sentence that you wrote in my opinion, but there is no mistake here, good job! :D

מישהו רוצה לעזרלי, בבקדה ?
לעזור and לי are two different words, and "please" is בבקשה and not "בבקדה"... so that would make it
מישהו רוצה לעזור לי, בבקשה?
also, what you wrote is "Does someone want to help me, please?" when I guess it would be more common (even in English..) to say "Can someone help me, please?". So:
מישהו יכול לעזור לי, בבקשה?
יכול means "can" (speaking of a male).

Don't know about anyone else but in my computer you text shows up as a lot of '?'s.

שמי תומי, נעים מאוד להכיר את כולכם בתגובה הראשונה שאני כותב בפורום "עברית", אני מקווה להיהנות פה איתכם ומעל הכל ללמוד את השפה היפה שלכם!

אני גר בעיר קטנה ליד מדריד, ספרד.שמה מחורדה דאל קמפו. אני מרגיש טוב פה. העיר הזאת רגועה, יש לי חברים טובים, כל המשפחה שלי גרה בסביבה, אני אוהב את המדינה שלי, אבל... אני רוצה לגור במקום אחר, בארץ אחרת. אולי בישראל (למה לא?) אולי ברוסיה או בפולין. כמו שרה מירי מסיקה בתקליט האחרון היפה שלה: "מה יהיה מחר, אין איש יודע" :)

[/quote] There aren't so many mistakes here, and BTW I can see in your response how when translating from English to Hebrew things can get messy. שלום כל אחד is literally (hello everyone - כל is every and אחד is one) but that is not the way you use it in Hebrew... You can use כולם to mean 'everybody'. שם שלי ג'יימס, אבל קרימלי ג'ים. literally "my name James, but callme Jim (did I write it correctly..?) so to write this correctly in Hebrew you'd write קוראים לי ג'יימס, (literally "[they] call me James", but means "my name is James") אבל קראו לי ג'ים ("but call me Jim"). אני גר בבאר שבעץ. - Not much of a mistake, I'm sure this just happened when you typed... but there is no ץ in באר שבע. אני רוצה ללמוד עברית אבל היא קשה מאוד.
