Tenses: Hindi has 3 main tenses :
Bhootkaal = Past Tense
Vartaman Kaal = Present Tense
Bhawishyat Kaal = Future Tense

Past Tense (BhootKal)
Like : ParsO krismas manaya gaya tha.
Day before yesterday Christmas was celbratred.

Manya gaya tha = Celebrated

OR simply : Mein institute gaya tha! = I went to the institute.

Vartaman Kaal
Bus aati hain = Bus comes.
Lucky khata hain = Lucky eats.

Bhawishyat Kaal
Chunky serial dekheygi = Chunky will see the serial.
Lucky khana kayega = Lucky will eat the food.

Types of Past Tense (Bhhotkaal key bhed)

1: Samanya Bhoot [Past Indefinate]
2: Aasan Bhoot [Recent Past]
3: PooRna Bhoot [ Past Perfect ]
4: ApooRna Bhoot [ Past Imperfect ]
5: Sandigdh Bhoot [ Conditional Past ]

Samanya Bhoot
Eg : Lakshmi ney paDh paDa = Lakshmi read the lesson.
Varsha Hui = It rained.
Aasan Bhoot
Eg : Radha ney yah kaam kiya hain = Radha had done this job > OR also Radha has (just) done this job

Poorna Bhoot
Eg : Sita ney pani bhara tha.
Sita filled (the buckets with) water.
See the " THA " ending

Varsha hui thi.
Varsha (fem.) = Rain so ending "THI"
It rained.

## ACTION is complete in Poorna Bhoot

Apoorna Bhoot
Varsha ho rahi thi.
I was raining.
Mein pustak paDh raha tha.
I was reading the book.

Sandigdh Bhoot
Eg : Raja ney khar kharida hoga
Raja may have bought a house.

Ladkon ney kam kiya hoga.
The boys may have done the job.

Vartaman Kaal key bhed (Types of Present Tense):
Samanya Vartaman [ Present Indicative ]
Apoorna Vartaman [ Presnt Continous ]
Sandigdh Vartaman [ Doubtful Present ]

Samanya Vartman
eg : Sohan likhta hain = Sohan writes.
Mein likhta hoon = I write.

Apoorna Vartman
eg : Sohan likh raha hai = Sohan is writing.
Kavita khel rahi hai = Kavita is playing

Sandigdh Vartman
eg : Kavi likhta hoga. = Kavi may be writing.
Surinder khata hoga. = Surinder may be eating.

Bhootkaal key bhed:
Samanya bhawishyat (Simple Future)
Eg : Mohan aayega = Mohan will come
Mein jaoonga = I will go.

Sambhwya bhawishyat (Doubtful future)*

Doubtful* (in Future Tense) = Sambhawya NOT Sandigdh (as in Past and Past)

Eg : Shayad aaj mausam suhavana ho = Perhaps today the weather will be fine.
Sambhavta: wo wahin khaDi ho! = Hopefully, she may be there.
