Hi every body - Hi there ...

How are you all ... am new member in this great site and am arabic native speaker and like to learn Hindi language ...

i know little bit in Hindi language ..

Kia Halhi = how are you

bohot = very much

namasty = welcome or somthing like that

hogya = finish

bus = enough or stop

lurki = girl

lurka = boy

tiga = good or fine

cuchra = dirty

jenjal = problem

lakin = but (same in arabic :) )

so i hope to learn more and more about hindi language ;)

and don\'t worry i\'ll keep asking about every thing in hindi

Khoda hafiz >>> this in Farisi (persian) i think it\'s same in hindi

it\'s mean : God Save you

- yeah your translation is very good indeed :)

Khoda Hafiz is said in Urdu and probably in Farsi too but It\'a not part of Hindi

- Well, it really depends on how you\'re pronouncing it, Jubran, it\'s difficult to transliterate Hindi at times:

how are you = aap kaise hai.n (to a man) or kaisii hai.n (to a woman). The closest one I can think to yours is \"kya haal hai\" - literally, what\'s your condition.

very much - bahut

namaste = Hello/goodbye. Also works for welcome, but you can also say namaskar.

Finish = I know it to be khatm (close to Arabic, no?) depending on the context. Khatm karna - to finish.

bas (which, yes, is pronounced bus) = enough or stop

laRkii = girl (note that it\'s a rolling \'r\' sound, as in Spanish, and a long vowel at the end.)

laRka = boy (same as above)

Theek hai = fine. good is \"accha\". Note that the \'Th\' in this case is made with the tongue touching the hard pallet.

dirty = again, I know the word to be ganda.

problem = samasya, mushkil. I\'ve never seen the word \'jenjal\' before. :/

lekin = but (same in arabic :) )

- thank you alowyn for your help and correction ... beganing i have to learen speaking and not speak and write at the same time ... so it\'s good at least i have some vocabulary in hindi ... in fact i like to speak hindi more than read or write.

and maybe (jenjal) is not in official hindi language because every budy knows there are many localy language in hind ...
