dying to speak hindi - Pls tell me how I get started to learn to speak Hindi. I know quite a bit of Hindi words, I think. I can read/write a bit....unable to speak. My wife speaks good Hindi, I want to surprise her. She has no time to teach me.....

- Oh how I want to learn Hindi (really Gujarati.) My bosses at work all speak it and they'll start talking to each other and i won't be able to understand a single thign they say, until they mention my name that is. I also would like to learn it because it is such an interesting language, and also one of my favorite movies is Lagaan (I'm sure that makes sense :D).

- I'm begining to believe there is absoutley possitively no one out there to teach us poor people gujarati :D. Oh well, I guess I'll have to find another way to learn :D.

Learn Hindi - I am new to this, so not really sure how this work... But I want to learn how to speak in hindi. I know some basic words and phrases, but want to improve.

Hindi - I would love to learn Hindi. The only words I know are the ones I learn from Shahrukh Khan Movies.

HEY !! HINDI LEARNERS !! I HAVE AN IDEA !! - hey for all those trying to learn hindi i have an idea,i am also learning hindi, i know alot as of now but still trying to perfect it, but anyway, i HAVE AN IDEA !!maybe if we partner up in maybe groups of 3 or 4 or less if u think, we could help eachother learn at least the vocabulary, im thinking to do it this way :: say we have a group of 3, person A , Person B , and Person C

to start we introduce ourselves to one another and find out how much everyone knows of hindi,

maybe the 1st week, person A, will give a set of words that everyone is suppose to study and learn then person A can send person B a quiz on the vocab,person B send Person C a quiz, and person C send Person A a quiz this will take alot of honesty on your part when takin your givin test. This will help us all to learn vocab quicker bc we will have the help of a guide and someone to keep us up on it. PLUS being in a group of other learners, if you are having trouble learning the set of words they may be able to give you pointers on how to remebr them as they did samja? understand?? so, then after all pass the test person B will supply the next set of words to study doing this we will be able study together and compare ideas on how to remeber them, learning vocab ithink is the 1st step in hindi, and as we learn we will see how the words are used as with boy or girl like Ladka(boy) and ladki (girl)

just an idea people hope some of you will be willing to try this if so plz orivate message me or send me an email at digimedpro@hotmail.com

exchange english or gujarati for hindi - I am a native english speaker and fluent in Gujarati (grew up speaking it at home)... but would like to become better at hindi (haven't used it since college) or just perfect my gujarati grammer. is there a chatroom where several of us can meet to learn over audio?
