Cluiche Focail | Word Game - This is a game to improve your vocab of Irish. You give a word that starts with the last letter of the word given before.

The word will be: [b]focal[/b] which means \"word\".

You should add a sentance if you can using the word.

Níl ach cúpla focal Gaeilge aici.
[i]She only has a few words of Irish.[/i]

Next word should start with an \"l\". :)

I\'m not exactly sure what this means but I\'ve seen it used quite a few times... :D I learned that i lár na hoíche meant the middle of the night but I was told by a friend that hoíche was not a word. I know I\'ve seen it used so... Anybody want to clarify? :)

[b]oíche[/b]

means night and the reason it has a \"h\" before it is because you have \"na\", the definite article, here in the feminine genitive before it, and so \"a\" and \"o\" can\'t come together so you but a \"h\" between them :) The phrase was correct. :)

Ok, I couldn\'t think of yet another word that started with \'h\' so I\'ll use \'ch\'.

ceart chun beo -- right to life (I\'ve heard my friend use this expression and I\'m pretty sure this is what it means)
