It" s slang. Shorter and easier, but it's a bit dangerous to use it :) because then you automatically speak and write in slang and forget a bit normal language. For me it became a little habit :D ;)

plz - please
thx - thanks
cu - see you

etc. :)

Slang? Come on! That's not even English, is it? I mean... I recognize what mat_kr and almadorcia mentioned... but they don't say a word about the obscure part!

"acha ye kia bat ki k ab mai tumain achi nai lago gi..?", for example.
Maybe it is slang... but seems slang of a language... not being English that language...

umh I did some research with google and it looks like it´s some language spoken in Asia, either Tagalog (or maype Filipino) or Urdu.
better asking in those fora then!=O)

(btw of course i´s a case of code mixing =O) with English being the second lang ;) )

Because our dear Karen (some of us know/knew her as "Yoon" before she changed her login name) is Indian.

So - that text makes absolute sense to her ;)

Just so you know, coding mixing with English is extremely normal with Asian languages. ;) Especially those phrases related to affection as you see there. Unlike of course, European languages, where you guys like to keep it pure. :)

=O) well I must admit that right in affectionate words and informal speech Italian teens tend to mix them a lot, problem is, they use English words and phrases the wrogn way coz mosdt of them doesnt speak English good at all :D
In German instead the English influence is mcuh stronger but also much better usedand controlled, even in informal speech.

its an intersting piece of Hinglish for sure!
I think "acha ye kia bat ki k ab mai tumain achi nai lago gi..?" means - oh now what is this that 'You won't like me anymore'"
its the literal translation.
:)
