I have a few questions about your computers that language learners might find interesting. :)
What is your computer's default language?
Have you changed the language settings?
Do you use any different keyboard layouts to the default ones?
My computer's default language is English because I live in an English-speaking country. I haven't changed the settings though, just incase I can't find my way around. There are still a lot of French terms for computers and technology that I still don't know!
As for my keyboard layout, I tend to use the French layout because it has all the keys I need.djr33

2. I use English, though I do change a few things to other languages for practice. I use my instant messenger in Italian, for example. I'll do that sort of thing from time to time, like with my iPod too.
3. I use the normal layout, but with a Mac I can switch it and get more options. So, I actually use the US-international keyboard, which has a few extended letter sets, like ü and ø or ?. No real advantage in the 'default' set.
When I am typing in Arabic script, however, I use an Arabic QUERTY-sound matching layout. I can now touch type in Arabic, if slowly. They're the same sounds when possible, then a bit random but got it memorized mostly.FaWzY

My computer's default language is English, for some reason, I couldn't stand using any application in Arabic!
My keyboard has both English and Arabic layouts as default, they're printed on the keys :)
I've added Japanese and Korean layouts too
As for French, I used to have it, but now that I could use 'Insert' codes, I don't really need it anymore

My cell phone has even Japanese and Hindi selections but not turkish, and this cell phone is sold in Turkey...how about that?
So my phone is in english
My computer used to have swedish and danish stuff, Because it's hard to type those funny accented letters like: å
Now, since I discovered those ASCII combinations I am back to turkish keyboard, it's simpler :pmattie

Hehe it is so weird that your cellphone doesn't have a Turkish option, Jako!
I have an idea! How about we post a screen-shot of our desktops in this thread? Killing two birds with one stone so to speak. You'll be able to see what the words for different things are on your desktop in different languages, like Recycle Bin, My Documents, My Computer etc and also what background picture everyone has!
It's a picture of Bream Bay Head, near where I live. I took it last summer while we were fishing. Return to the MISCELLANEOUS Archive
