Last In, First Out Game - As I\'m learning Neuroscience, I am looking up various Nepali words so that I can keep reviewing the language also...

And I will share with you a word I found today by accident when looking up \"muscle\"

Kaaryavaahi - कार्थवाही - to move to end the strike.

We can make this a \"Last in, First Out\" type of thread.
So the letter that finishes the first word, is the beginning for the second word.

Feel free to join, so that I\'m not simply talking to myself. :)

Since I am going to Nepal as a teacher, perhaps I can provide you with Neuroscience words and you can provide me with Teaching words? Not that I know all that many... I\'m still learning and don\'t know as much as you... these words may be really easy for you and you might even have to correct me!

It will be perfect, because we are going to be there only 2 weeks apart, so we have a similar learning goal! I would definitely appreciate practicing with you, because doing it on my own with med stuff, is quite difficult.

*if you can\'t find a word from the previous letter, just pick whatever comes to your mind first, that we have not seen before, ok?

ma aaraam garnu caahachu kinabhane ma thakaai chu
- I want to rest because I am tired (I have no idea if this is right)

- hi all!

nowdays my internet connection is really bad .. for rx. i couldnt visit the forum since 3-4 weeks ... it said there is an error with database ... so Dave, the sentence \"I want to rest because I\'m tired\" sounds like this :
\"malai aaraam garnu parchha kinabhane malaai thakaai laagyo\"
or \"malai thakaai laagyo tesaile malaai aaraam garnu parchha\"

-lai parnu : to have to do something
kinabhane : because
tesaile : because of this
-lai laagyo : to feel something

in this structures you have to use the \"-lai\" postposition, which means \"for s.body\". Now it identifies the person, who feels the feeling. The word \"laagnu\" means to feel. Its in past tense, beacause you want to express an actual feeling, not something generally.

Some useful sentences according to this structure:

malai thirkaa laagyo - i\'m thirsty
malai bhok laagyo - i\'m hungry
malai biraami laagyo - i feel sick

But I do have another question about how to say you feel sick. It is...

\"malai biraami laagyo\" - I feel sick

OR

\"ma biraami chu\" - I am sick

Can these both be used? Is one more proper?

- both are correct ... \"ma biraami chhu\" means as you wrote, \"i am sick\" and \"malai biraami laagyo\" - \"i feel sick\" ... the difference is the same as in english ...

\"ma biraami chu\" - I am sick
is correct
but in Nepali not use to say
\"malai biraami laagyo\"
use to say: \"malai bimaari laagyo\"
bimaari/rog = disease (болезни in Russian)

I know khāli - empty, but ritto could be it as well. Nepali has an interesting aspect to it:

Dherai shabda, euta artha (many words, same meaning).

Orālo - downhill

я к сожалению не знаю это слово как кровать, но могу попробовать воспроизвести как оно звучит. я попробую а Прадип меня прокорректирует!

But give different sence! -
khali = empty/blank
may be \"khali panna\"/blank paper (page)
but \"ritto panna\" will not sound good
cause,
ritto = empty/ not filled

some examples:
ritto bhando = empty pot
ritto khalti = empty pocket
khali thaun bhara = fill in the blanks (we will not say \"ritto thaun bhara\")

some times \"khali\" give different meaning, like:
\"jahile ni khali aafnai bare sochchhau\" = \"you always think about yourself only\"
here,
khali = only/continuously
So Anya, we have one word many meanings too:)
