| Need... help... - I\'ve been trying to learn Nepali alone for a long time now but none of it is sticking. I can\'t have a conversation past the \"I\'m fine too, thanks!\" stage, which is very upsetting as I\'m so interested in Nepalese culture and language. I need someone who speaks Nepali well enough to teach to be there for me and give me intensive teaching whilst online, because the Pimsleur method definitely does not help me! Love & Light, and I pray to Buddha that someone replies! | |

| - Darz! I know and understand what you\'re experiencing! I\'m trying really hard to not forget all that I\'ve learned while in Nepal. I am able to hold a conversation, but need to continually jog my memory to make sure that I am not mixing up vocabulary (usually with Spanish). I would be glad to help. I am not going to be able to do the \"intensive teaching\" as you mention, since I\'m also a student of Nepali (and a student in the daytime), but I would be glad to work with you to keep the old fresh in mind. Check back here as well. We\'ll have some more games to try and work on vocabulary! Swahgatam - welcome! | |

| Thanks a lot, guys! - Thanks for getting back to me on this! I really appreciate the help as it is extremely needed haha. Pradeep, this is going to be very short and sweet because as it turns out, i don\'t know a lot of Nepali =S...so here goes: Namaste Tapaailai kasto chaa? Malai sancaai/raamro chha/chhaina Tapaalko naam ke ho? Mero naam Darryl ho Wahaako naam ke ho? Wahaako naam Jimbob Smithdude ho (I can\'t think of random names!) Ma ke gharna sakkchu ta (not sure of that one, but i think it means \"What can I do?\") ?????? ....... and that\'s it! It would be absolutely fantastic to learn as much as the human brain can retain (bearing in mind that i have an extremely small brain :D) for my travels to nepal in 2008-09 for volunteer work after i finish high school! Much love, Darryl xxx | |
